How to effectively improve the efficiency of hydraulic system and reduce power loss?

When designing the hydraulic system, on the premise of meeting the operating requirements, full consideration should also be given to reducing the power loss of the system. So how can we improve the efficiency of the hydraulic system and reduce power loss?

1、 It is better to select the pressure limiting variable displacement pump

(1) Considering the diversification of the working conditions of the actuator, it is appropriate to select the pressure limiting variable displacement pump.

(2) When the system pressure decreases, the flow is relatively large, which can meet the fast stroke of the actuator.

(3) When the system pressure increases, the flow decreases correspondingly, which can meet the working stroke of the actuator.

(4) This can not only meet the working requirements of the actuator, but also make the power consumption more reasonable.

2、 Reasonable selection of hydraulic device

(1) Reasonable selection of hydraulic devices and adjustment of pressure of pressure valves are also important aspects to reduce power loss.

(2) The flow valve shall be selected according to the flow regulation range in the system and its minimum stable flow shall meet the operating requirements. The pressure of the pressure valve shall be as low as possible under the condition that the hydraulic equipment can work normally.

3、 Strictly implement the speed regulating circuit

(1) Throttling speed regulation circuit: the power loss of throttling speed regulation circuit is large, and the low speed stability is good.

(2) Volume speed regulating circuit: the volume speed regulating circuit has neither overflow loss nor throttling loss, high efficiency, but poor low speed stability.

(3) Volume throttling speed regulating circuit: if the requirements of both sides are to be met, the volume throttling speed regulating circuit composed of differential pressure variable displacement pump and throttle valve can be used, and the pressure difference between the two ends of the throttle valve shall be minimized to reduce the pressure loss.

4、 Reasonable selection of hydraulic oil

(1) When the hydraulic oil flows in the pipeline, it will show viscosity. When the viscosity is too high, it will produce greater internal friction, causing the oil to heat, and increasing the resistance when the oil flows.

(2) When the viscosity is too low, it is easy to cause leakage, which will reduce the volume efficiency of the system. Therefore, oil with appropriate viscosity and good viscosity temperature characteristics is generally selected.

(3) When the oil flows in the pipeline, there are also pressure losses along the pipeline and local pressure losses. Therefore, the pipeline shall be designed as short as possible and elbows shall be reduced.
